Matthew Perry’s Stepmother Demands Maximum Sentence for Ketamine Queen

Victim Impact Statement Highlights Irreversible Harm

Debbie Perry, the stepmother of late Friends star Matthew Perry, has urged a California judge to impose the highest possible prison term on Jasveen Sangha, dubbed the ‘Ketamine Queen.’ In a victim impact statement submitted to the court on Tuesday, she described the harm caused by Sangha’s actions as ‘irreversible.’

“The pain you’ve caused to hundreds maybe thousands is irreversible,” she wrote. “There is no joy… No light in the window. They won’t be back.”

Convicted in Ketamine Distribution Network

Sangha faces over six decades in prison when her sentencing occurs on Wednesday. She has already pleaded guilty to five charges, including distributing ketamine that resulted in death or severe injury. Perry’s death in 2023 was attributed to an accident triggered by the acute effects of ketamine.

His stepmother emphasized Sangha’s role in the tragedy, stating: “You caused this… You who has talent for business enough to make money chose the one way that hurts people.” She further requested the maximum sentence to prevent future harm to families.

Chain of Events Leading to Perry’s Death

Sangha collaborated with Erik Fleming to supply 51 vials of ketamine to Perry’s personal assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa. Iwamasa administered multiple injections, including three on October 28, 2023, which led to Perry’s fatal overdose. Sangha later directed Fleming to erase all messages related to the transactions.

Earlier in the case, Dr. Salvador Plasencia, another key figure, admitted to distributing ketamine at inflated prices—$2,000 per vial—before Perry’s death. He received a 30-month sentence last year. Dr. Mark Chavez, who supplied ketamine to Plasencia, faced eight months of home detention and three years of supervised release.

Apology from Ketamine Queen

Speaking to the Sun from federal custody since 2024, Sangha expressed regret for her actions. “There are no excuses for what I did. I am deeply sorry for the pain I caused, especially to Matthew’s family,” she stated.
