The statement, posted on Instagram, also highlighted the importance of privacy during this time, though Declan expressed gratitude for the public’s support.
“We’d really value a bit of privacy as we navigate it [sic], and what lies ahead, but thank you again for the support as it means so much to dad and the rest of the family,” he added.
GB News confirmed that Holmes was hospitalized after suffering a stroke last week, with the channel’s chief executive Angelos Frangopoulos describing him as a “loved member of the GB News family.” Frangopoulos reassured that the organization is “with him every step of the way as he recovers.” The statement also noted that Holmes was “responding well to treatment.”
