Dan Walker to Appear at Tribunal in Bullying Case
Claudia-Liza Vanderpuije, a former co-host on Channel 5 News, has filed a claim against Dan Walker, alleging he subjected her to bullying during their time together on the show. ITN, the producer of Channel 5 News, and its parent company Paramount are also listed as parties involved in the dispute, as confirmed by Vanderpuije’s legal representative. The case, initially reported by *The Mail on Sunday*, includes additional accusations of sexism and misogynistic behavior.
ITN has stated that the allegations are “denied in full,” according to a spokesperson. Walker, who has previously been featured on *Strictly Come Dancing*, is set to testify at the tribunal, which will take place in London starting 20 April and span five weeks. His legal team has reportedly provided over 50 character witness statements to support his defense.
A prior internal inquiry into Vanderpuije’s claims against Walker did not substantiate any wrongdoing, with no misconduct identified. The trial is expected to address all aspects of the case, including Vanderpuije’s departure from the channel in 2024. ITN’s CEO, Rachel Corp, is also named as a respondent to the claim.
“This claim, which is denied in full, will be addressed through the tribunal process,” said an ITN spokesperson.
