Trump shares renderings of a towering presidential library
President Donald Trump unveiled visual depictions of his prospective presidential library on Monday, showcasing a conceptual design for the proposed Florida facility. The video, shared on Truth Social, highlights a colossal skyscraper that would stand out against Miami’s skyline, with the Trump name prominently featured at its uppermost point. The imagery includes visitors stepping into the structure via a golden arch bearing the presidential insignia, followed by an interior lined with displays that mimic White House settings, historical references to his political journey, and a collection of aircraft, including a model of Air Force One.
“I don’t believe in building libraries or museums,” Trump remarked during a ceremony at the White House, suggesting the building could serve as a hotel. “This concept might be an office, but it’s most likely going to be a hotel with a stunning building and a 747 in the lobby, which is going to be a trick,” he added.
The visual concepts, crafted by the Miami-based firm Bermello Ajamil, feature reconstructions of Trump’s opulent Oval Office and the Rose Garden. The scenes also mirror the “Presidential Walk of Fame” on the West Colonnade and an envisioned grand ballroom, replacing the East Wing. The video includes a golden escalator echoing the one he used during his 2024 presidential announcement, and a towering statue of the president with his hand raised, resembling his response to the July 2024 assassination attempt in Pennsylvania.
Eric Trump, the president’s son and leader of the library foundation, praised the renderings on X, calling it “a lasting testament to an amazing man, an amazing developer, and the greatest President our Nation has ever known.” However, the site selection process faced delays when a judge temporarily halted the land sale due to allegations of open government law violations. The foundation’s chosen location, 2.63 acres near the Miami Freedom Tower, was officially transferred via a Cabinet vote in 2025. The site was selected after evaluating multiple options in Florida, as stated by the foundation.
“The Trump Presidential Library will be one of the most magnificent buildings in the world and a living testament to the indelible impact President Trump has made on America and its people,” said White House spokesperson Davis Ingle.
Trump, originally from New York, formally became a Florida resident in 2019. That year, he updated his legal residence to the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach. The story has been updated with additional context. This report was contributed by CNN’s Molly English and Samantha Waldenberg.
